"When my friend handed me a jar of her mother’s chutney to taste, she did not warn me that I was about to be launched into a new gastronomical sphere. I have to admit that I have always been somewhat of a chutney fan (and aficionado), but I have quickly discovered that this was no ordinary condiment affair. It would not be an exaggeration to call this delicious concoction the ultimate food enhancer, transcending cuisine and culinary classification. So far, I have tried it on and with just about anything I could get my hands and mind on: as accompaniment to meats, as spread in sandwiches, to flavor sauces, to saute vegetables, and as butter substitution on corn, just to mention a few. Its flavor is complex enough to complement the most exotic dishes and yet subtle enough for your everyday favorites, such hamburgers and grilled chicken. One can only get excited at the thousands of other yet-to-be explored possibilities.  Although, I will not try this myself, my guess is that it could even make a shoe taste good.
