Patsy's daughter, Wendy Wheeler Smith, joined SchoolHouse Kitchen in spring 2007, assuming the duty of running the day-to-day business of the company. In her early years, Wendy experienced countless no-thank-you helpings at the bidding of her mother, which gave her a very adventurous palate and a never-ending curiosity for all things new. Like all of Patsy's children, Wendy avidly supported SchoolHouse Kitchen and jumped at the chance to be a part of the company.
Prior to SchoolHouse Kitchen, Wendy has worked as a private investigator for The James Mintz Group, lived and worked in Spain, and spent eight years in the photography industry, working as a magazine editor and a director of a photography studio and production company.
Wendy holds a graduate degree from New York University and an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College. Wendy also believes that if travel could qualify as a traditional degree, she would be well on her way to her Ph.D. and hopes to continue her study in that field.
